I first met Lauren through her daughter, Kate, who was one of my first clients. As soon as we finished our initial meeting, I texted Kate and asked her why she'd been keeping her mom from me all those years. She's that awesome. Lauren is a truly amazing gemmotherapist and holistic practitioner who developed The Hubele Method to help her clients cure numerous ailments through plant-based nutrition. I count on Lauren to be a good sport while I show her ways to integrate new pieces into her colorful, Austin-preppy wardrobe, and to give me honest feedback which helps me improve my services overall. She needs her wardrobe to work for her life in Austin running her practice, as well as for travel as she regularly visits to Europe to support her work in the homeopathic community.
Lauren, please tell us a little bit about yourself...
I love NOT shopping. I love hiking on the weekends in the beautiful nature that surrounds Austin. I love escaping to Barton Springs for a swim before work. I can't look at FB posts about pets in need of homes because I would want all of them. I am passionate about feeding my family plant based whole food meals and love talking about food and natural medicine.
What made you decide to hire a personal stylist? What were you struggling with prior to our time together?
I really hate the whole shopping experience and yet I need to look put together every day. I'm either with clients, giving talks or teaching practitioners so I am always in front of people all day. I needed a natural look that appeared professional with out making me feel like someone else. I needed help achieving that. In addition, I travel often and I need pieces that can be pulled together easily to achieve several looks from outdoorsy to business casual.
What did you love about the process and about working together?
Laurel gets me. She knows how to push my comfort level just the right amount with new styles and she understands my short attention span when it comes to trying on clothes or shoes. She makes our time together count and I honestly think it is one of my smarter investments.
